SANNI
Sanni is a Finnish mixed media artist and has been tattooing since 2012. She works with almost all tattoo styles and is heavily inspired by nature-themed motifs. Her style is creative and versatile, and the portfolio includes works ranging from complex color works to simple black works with a slight impressionistic touch.
Regardless of the style of the image or the tattoo technique, Sanni loves images that are unique and have a little challenge and complexity. She loves to constantly experiment with new techniques and designs to expand her drawing and tattooing skills. Her interest in nature can be seen through her photography, which she uses as a source of inspiration for drawing.
Unfortunately, Sanni’s books are closed most of the time because of the large number of tattoo requests. Booking days are announced on social media and on the web page. Thank you for your understanding!

Tools for applying ink on the lino-block
Lino-cutting and printing
One of my favorite art mediums is traditional printmaking, specifically linocutting and printing.
The drawing is made directly on the linoleum block and then engraved with the special knives. The finished engraving is inked with a roller and then pressed onto paper.
Because there is no room for error, this art form reminds me a lot of tattooing. Once you cut the linoleum, you cannot go back.
The drawing and cutting process of linoleum is really challenging, and it forces you to slow down and focus the same way as in tattooing. "Challenge" doesn’t always mean something is hard. It just forces you to make precise decisions before taking action, and that is what makes linocutting so meditative and enjoyable.

Why choosing hand-printed art?
Handmade prints retain their value if they are handled and stored properly. Since several of them are printed at a time, their final price is not as high as that of individual artworks like paintings and such.
The resale value remains in the prints, especially in the limited edition series.
